Jumbo Lump Heaven In Annapolis Eastport
We started our Maryland soup pilgrimage at Boat Yard Bar and Grill in Annapolis, specifically in the vibrant district of Eastport which jokingly seceded from the city years ago. The vibe was pure Naptown cool, with a view that screamed local pride and a promise of great times ahead. After working off a few calories on Fourth Street, we dove into a bowl that felt like a heavyweight champion stepping into the ring. The thickness was substantial, rivaling some of the best I have ever encountered, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
The crab content was staggering, featuring nice firm lumps of jumbo lump that simply do not happen in your average soup. It was velvety and easy to swallow, sliding right down with an elegance that demanded respect. We paired this elite comfort food with local beers, creating a match made in heaven for any true Maryland soul. Between the incredible texture and the sheer volume of premium crab, this bowl was absolute perfection, proving why this region remains the undisputed king of cream of crab.
